The Manila Central Post Office: A Digital Tribute for UAP NATCON49

As part of the United Architects of the Philippines National Convention 2024 (NATCON49), Douglas Leong created a customized, localized digital world featuring the Manila Central Post Office—a national architectural icon of the Philippines.

This immersive virtual rendition was designed to celebrate the cultural heritage and identity of both the event and its attendees. The digital recreation honored the symbolic significance of the structure while reimagining it through the lens of real-time technology.

Douglas specializes in creating bespoke virtual worlds that transform landmark buildings and environments into meaningful visual narratives. These digital experiences are crafted to reflect the spirit, identity, and aspirations of each event’s community.

For NATCON49, the Manila Central Post Office was more than just a digital backdrop—it was a tribute to Filipino architectural heritage, designed to resonate with over 8,000 architects attending the largest gathering of its kind.
